Xabi Alonso has revealed his intention to bring his son up as a die-hard Liverpool supporter.

The Spaniard may have swapped Merseyside for Madrid but he remains a big fan of his old club, insisting that his passion for all-things LFC will never fade.

“I am still a Liverpool fan and will be forever, absolutely,” Alonso told The Times Online.
